Bio

Samuel Hoffe is a Canadian photographer and natural resource management professional based in Calgary, AB. He holds a Bachelor of Design from the Alberta University of the Arts, a Resource Management Officer Technology diploma from Vancouver Island University, and has worked as a freelance photographer, environmental technician, and Park Ranger at various locations in Western Canada. Whatever the subject or situation, all of his photographs share carefully considered, meticulous compositions, and his inspiration comes from several, sometimes unexpected sources. More often than not, however, it’s the natural world and those working to preserve it that motivate him to keep creating imagery. When he isn't writing about himself in the third person, you can probably find Sam casting a fly to a rising trout, bushwhacking or scrambling off trail, or simply trying to find some time to conversate with family and friends.
